One Page, One Goal: Why Focused Pages Convert Better Than Homepages

A homepage has to serve everyone. That is precisely why it converts almost no one.

A homepage is built to serve every kind of visitor at once: the first-timer, the returning customer, the job applicant, the journalist. Trying to serve all of them means no single message gets the visitor's full attention. That's a reasonable trade-off for a homepage, whose job is to be a hub.

It's a terrible trade-off for a page whose only visitor is someone who already clicked a specific ad for a specific offer. That visitor doesn't want a hub. They want the thing they clicked for, immediately, without having to hunt through a navigation menu built for someone else's intent.

This is the entire case for a dedicated, single-goal page: remove every option except the one the visitor already came for. No menu to wander into. No unrelated services competing for attention. Just the offer, the proof it's worth acting on, and the button.

Fewer choices, not more information, is usually what increases conversion. Every extra link is a chance for the visitor to leave the path you built for them. A focused page has no other path to offer.
