Local Service / Booking Flow
Turning a barber's TikTok following into an actual booking flow

The Challenge
A barbershop site lives or dies on one thing: does it make booking effortless, or does it make people think? Every constraint shaped the build. Almost every visitor arrives on a phone from Instagram or TikTok. Payment is bank transfer only, confirmed by Emmanuel himself. And trust has to come before the payment ask — a visitor is handing a stranger money before ever showing up in person, so the original instinct to lead with pricing was backwards.
Overview
Emmanuel already had a real brand — a clean logo, a tagline, and genuinely good work showing up on Instagram and TikTok. What he didn't have was anywhere to send people, or a way to turn that attention into a booked, paid appointment without a back-and-forth. This case study covers building a site that fits how the shop actually runs: no card payments, no receptionist, no booking software — just Emmanuel and WhatsApp.
Trust Before the Payment Ask
Early structuring put pricing and payment details right after the photo gallery, before anyone had actually "met" Emmanuel. That's the wrong order for a business where someone transfers money to a stranger before ever showing up. The fix was structural, not cosmetic: About comes before Services now. Person, then proof, then price — the same sequence a real trust decision actually follows.
A Booking Flow That Matches How the Shop Works
There's no calendar system, so building one would have been solving a problem Emmanuel doesn't have. Instead, every single service and price is tap-to-book: tap "Haircut & Dye," and WhatsApp opens with the message already written — service, price, and a line confirming the transfer. Emmanuel just has to confirm the slot. The bank details sit right there next to the prices, not buried in a footer where a ready-to-pay visitor would have to go hunting for them.
Content That Looks Like What Already Works For Him
His TikTok and Instagram already proved the demand — real cuts, real reveals. So the video clips he'd already shot lead the "Work" section instead of getting buried under static photos, with one looping quietly in the hero itself. Photos follow in an asymmetric gallery rather than a grid, so the actual work reads as photogenic instead of forced into uniform boxes.
Nothing Invented
No fake reviews, no made-up "500+ happy clients." The testimonials section is honestly labeled as pending real client quotes, because a fabricated review is a business risk the moment a real client ever asks about it — worse than an empty section.
Where It Stands
This is a live, working site, not a mockup. What it doesn't have yet is traffic data, because it just launched. The honest version of "results" right now: a barber who had no way to convert his social following into bookings now has one, and nothing on the page asks a visitor to do more than tap once.
Why This Works
Every price is its own tap-to-WhatsApp action with a pre-written, accurate message
Bank transfer details sit next to the prices, not buried in a footer
About comes before Services — trust established before the payment ask
Real client video clips lead the Work section, not static photos
Testimonials honestly labeled as pending, not fabricated
Security headers and a scoped content policy configured for the real, live site

What Changed?
Before
After
The right booking flow isn't the fanciest one — it's the one that matches how the business actually runs. No calendar software was needed here, just a WhatsApp message with the right words already in it.
